Universities should take the same number of men & women in each major.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement
Gender equality has always been a highly debated topic. This is especially true in case of educational institutions that have gender equality as one of the core values. Universities, in particular, seem divided between the idea that the allocation of course seats should be merit based and the one that it should take gender into consideration. I find the latter proposition to be a one that is harmful not only on an individual level but also on a collective one.
The first flaw in this approach is that it can be unfair to some potential students. A more deserving candid...

I've been told by a former
I've been told by a former IELTS examiner that personal pronouns should be used very cautiously in Academic essays. I contacted him again regarding this essay you have rated as 8.5 and he said in clear words that this essay will not pass the 7 band marks mainly due to the "Lack of academic sense" and the overuse of "personality".
I am beginning to think that this essay checking thing of yours is just a computerized response.
Well, the score is 7.5 out of
Well, the score is 7.5 out of 9, not 8.5.
The rating system in testbig is like this:
Suppose mark A = Essay E-rater's mark
mark B = human grader's mark
the final mark = ( mark A + mark B )/ 2
and we believe essay E-rater is smarter than IELTS examiners.
I was talking about the score
I was talking about the score in the essay you have linked me to, not mine. This one -

To say your e-rater is better than an IELTS examiner is not 'smart' its arrogant. But if that helps you sleep better in the night.
May be you will still answer how you gave that essay an 8.5. Because I think you are misguiding people here.
We refer you to that link
We refer you to that link mainly to prove that to get better marks, you will need to put more content: the guy got 8.0 by putting around 350 words. But we didn't realize the mark 8.5 is 'generous' for the essay. Testbig has different human graders with different ideas, so some essays may have higher marks and some may be underestimated.
We appreciate your comments and hope you can enjoy the site.

I was. But you've made it
I was. But you've made it hard. I feel for those who would rest in the false knowing that they can get higher band simply by putting in more content. But I do get your point.
Thanks.
