Advantages of genetically modified foods
There are several advantages of Genetically-Modified(GM) foods. Firstly, farmers can produce crops that grow bigger and faster than conventional crops. Secondly, some GM crops are not only more resistant to various diseases and incursion of unwanted insects but also bring significant profit from fast cultivation of fruit and vegetables. In addition, the amount of pesticides and fertiliser used will decrease. Furthermore, GM foods may be more attractive to customers who will pay a lot of attention to unique and eye-catching foods. As a result, this could be essential for food production in developing countries.
