In some countries, there has been an increase in the number of parents choosing to self-educate their children at home rather than sending them school. Do the advantages of home education outweigh disadvantages.
In this contemporary world, there are many technology devices also increase the number of parents take their children for study at home than sending to school. This essay will examine the advantages and disadvantages before conclusion is drawn.
Admittedly, there are some arguments in favor of increase the number of parents choosing their children self-education. First, self-education are believed to equalize study opportunities among young people regardless of their background family. This home schooling support, presumably tends not only to increase the overall education rate of lower-income people but also to mitigate their feeling of inferiority, which promotes an egalitarian society. Second, self-education would probably result in a higher supply of highly qualified workers, which benefits society in the long run. In fact, it is acknowledged that knowledgeable and skilled human capital is imperative to foster economic growth and technological development in any nations.
Nevertheless, the resultant problems would be far more significant than the minor benefits once if all people choosing home schooling. First, self-education would likely correspond with tremendous financial strain on a country. Generating no income from tuition or fees, schools could over-reliant on the state-budget for funding, meaning that there would be less input to develop other important areas such as healthcare system and transport infrastructure. Second, self-education tempt many young people including those who are not academically inclined or show no interest in study, thereby adding great burden for staff school and government and potentially wasting time that these young people need go to school. It, instead, would be a more viable option if self-education was focused on supporting less-privileged yet gifted students.
In conclusion, this argument also has some benefits but the disadvantages outweigh and more drawbacks. From my perspective, government need to create a clear self-education system in country if people want that.
