Failure is proof that the desire wasn't strong enough
To what extent do you agree with this statement?
To a certain extent I agree that many people fail to do something because their hope is not stronger enough. However, I also think that the failure can be caused by external factors.
On the one hand, almost people cannot achieve something because they do not really desire it. Therefore, they have not tried their best yet as well as they have not spent enough time to do this. For example, if a student wish to get a scholarship, he will make a plan, then divide into separated steps. Depending on it, he will study and work day by day to upgrade himself to obtain the scholarship. Moreover, if the desire is not big enough, which cannot create incentive to motivate a person to follow his plan. In the first time, they are still patient and hard enough to do their work, but they will be lazier and ignored after a long time. Simply because, they lost their motivation. That is the main reason to lead a failure.
On the other hand, failure or success will be affected by other factors. For example, a student is really into studying abroad and he has a perfect plan but his parents do not want to him to be away from home. Or a worker wish that he will promote in the next year and he works hard to achieve it. However, he is suddenly ill, which compulsory him to quit his job. As a result, many people have to accept the failure because of some things they cannot control although they have a great desire.
For the aforementioned reasons, I believe that the main reason why many people fail to do something is the desire being not strong enough. However, the failure can be caused by something none can anticipate.
