An increasing number of people do not know their neighbors, and there is no longer a sense of community. What do you think are the causes of this situation? What solutions can you suggest?
There is no doubt that people communicate with their neighbors fewer and fewer, which means that community could not be exited in the future. There are variety of possible reasons for this, but steps can definitely be taken to tackle the problem.
In my opinion, three main factors that can influence people get in touch with their neighbors and lead to the sense of community become weaker. Firstly, the increased pace of life and work commitments limit the time available for community engagement and knowing one’s neighbors. Modern work demands often involve long hours or taking work home, leaving little time for socializing with neighbors or participating in community activities. Secondly, the rapid advancement of technology has facilitated isolated lifestyles, reducing the necessity for face-to-face interaction with neighbors. Thirdly, the diversity and constant change of urban populations can hinder the formation of lasting community bonds. For example, in cities, the frequent moving of individuals and families means that by the time community ties begin to form, one party might relocate, disrupting the budding relationship.
I believe that there are some ways that can solve this problem. On the one hand, people need to connect their neighbors more positively at their free time, which can help them know more about each other. On the other hand, community can hold some party make more people get together, which means that it provides the opportunities to meet and communicate with their neighbors. Moreover, community also can advertise the perspective, such as close neighbors are better than distant relatives, which can make a harmonious community.
In conclusion, this problems will continue to face in our society unless personal, communities and society positive to solve it.
