In many parts of the world families were larger in the past because people had more children. Do you think there were more advantages or disadvantages to being part of a large family in the past.
People were used to of having a large size of family as this trend was common those days. Moreover, lack of education regarding family planning and bearable expenses would be a reason of family with higher number of members. In my perspective, it had many benefits as compared to drawbacks which would be discussed before making any statement.
First and foremost thing, that need to be addressed is moral values and affection towards family members. It can be seen that, children with join family learn more basic values such as giving respect to elders, taking care of their near and dear ones, honesty and responsibility. Whereas, these qualities are unexpected from people who avoid to be with large family. Furthermore, the another main advantage to be in large family is that, people do not need to panic in any though situation like unfortunate accidents of one of the family members. The burden of financial cries can be divided between people of family. Large numbers people in any home would definitely provide a great support and strength. This kind of atmosphere can easily tackle major hurdles of life.
On the other hand, people who prefer to live in small family claim that, privacy is the most crucial part when some one present at their own house. In nuclear family this thing is quite hard to find. Another thing, the more people live together the more chances of grudges and inconvenience in family.
However, these small problems can be sorted out when people have care and love for their family.
Hammering the last nail, it can be said that "To each his own". It is clearly visible that, being with large family is more beneficial than staying separated. Nowadays loneliness is extremely toxic to human soul therefore having someone in family to share any problem with is a blessing.
