Some people think that computers and the internet are more important for a child's education than going to school. But others believe that schools and teachers are essential for children to learn effectively. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
It is argued that advanced technology such as internet and computer could give children a better education than traditional school. While in my opinion, I extremely disagree with this point of view.
Some people support that internet brings a global horizon to pupils, which help them to study kinds of knowledge without going abroad. The computer acts like a virtual museum that children can touch to any academic area just by searching. However, this comes to a problem that although internet shows a range of knowledge, it also contains violent and unhealthy news since it is limitless. These may have a negative impact on developing the psychology of children.
In this situation, I think traditional schooling may carry more weight than internet in children's study since professional educators can give system training to pupils. Most teachers in traditional school are well-trained and full of experience. Hence, they could sample a good model for children in such a sensitive growth period. Meanwhile, teachers could set a proper study plan to students, which protect children from the complex social environment.
Additionally, accepting education from traditional school is beneficial to children's communication skills. Unlike searching on the internet individually, the classic teaching method leads students to work with others. For example, there may have several group games during class. This kind of activity could build the bridge between child and counterparts, practicing their communication skills in an interesting way.
In conclusion, I support the attitude that traditional schooling method is more important for children's education compared with computer and internet.
