Some people think that you can never become fluent in a language unless you have spent time living or working in that country.
To what extent do you agree?
It is commonly believed that reaching fluency in foreign languages is impossible without some life or working experience abroad. In my opinion, I agree that being fully surrounded by native speakers could help, as long as the learner is more than a beginner.
On the one hand, it is beneficial to challenge oneself communication abilities through spending some time abroad, since this experience would be stimulating and requires a necessary and active effort to survive.
