Students today can easily access information online, so libraries are no longer necessary. Do you agree or disagree?
The easy to learn trend on the internet and accessing information on the infinite number of topics change the way of adapting knowledge and skills among people. The students have a wider range of platforms available on different websites to get anything at any time. It is argued that the possibility of finding any resource and information on internet declined the necessity of books and libraries. In my opinion, I totally disagree with this statement because the libraries are always a conventional and reliable source of getting structured form of data and information.
In one hand, the benefits of having instant information by searching directly through the internet make it versatile and adverse to learn everything with comfort. The latest videos on YouTube channels can impact also over people to let them know about different skills and developing new habits. Social media platform also influence the behavior and personality of the public, they adopt the trends and debate over any issues to share their opinions and advice among the public. The daily updates on current affairs and histories easily found on the internet but not necessarily it is right, sometimes it is fraud, biased and unreliable which make it difficult for users to acquire and consider it. The privacy of the user would be accessed by cyber hackers and use it for criminal activity. Moreover, the lack of authentication and reliability make it controversial to choose as a source of collecting information.
On the other hand, the books have a sufficient amount of knowledge and have the number of cognition under different genres. The acquaintances of taking and reading books for developing the skills and acquiring right amount of information make it worthwhile. However, the libraries cannot be declined any time, may it have necessary developments and advancements over a period but it is not dissolved anyway because of their reliability and consistency. The libraries took people together and unite them under one roof. The books have a lot of emotions involved in it to feel and understand which could not be found on the internet. Many countries set up new libraries for the public at free of cost charge to attract them to visit and learn and not going every time to search on websites.
In conclusion, I would argue that the libraries and internet both are a synthetic form of resources but the most dependable, honest and authentic form of getting information through books cannot be faded out and become more popular in future.
