Topic As well as making money businesses also have social responsibilities

Topic: As well as making money, businesses also have social responsibilities.

Some people claim that apart from earning money, companies should be in charge of social activities. In my opinion, I am totally in favor of this view for the following reasons.
On the one hand, we cannot deny that making money makes a crucial contribution to businesses. The first reason is that the more profits they make, the more taxes they must pay. As a result, governments can use this amount of money for different purposes. For example, they can invest in hospitals, schools,… to improve material facilities. Secondly, it is undeniable that companies also need money for other fees such as employees’ wages, payments for buildings… I believe that If a company do not invest in improvements, it is inevitable that they will go bankrupt soon.
On the other hand, not only should businesses concentrate on creating profits, but they also should take responsible for society. This means that what they can contribute is to create more jobs for people, especially people who live in poor countryside. If people have chance to work in a large company which treat them well, they can improve their living standards. In addition, businesses should put money back into the community through supporting charities, financing scholarships… For example, every year, there are a large number of companies making donations for poor children and awarding scholarships for students such as Vinamilk, Unilever.
To sum up, I believe that it is essential for bosses to raise money so that they can remain their companies. However, at the same time, they also should take notice of their social responsibilities.
