In Britain, when someone gets old they often go to live in a home with other old people where there are nurses to look after them. Sometimes the government has to pay for this care.Who do you think should pay for this care, the government or the family?Gi

Senior citizens in UK prefer to stay in elderly homes post their retirement, as they think that they get all the nursing care only at these centers which are funded by these governments. While most of the people say that its the government's responsibility to aid those nursing support for the old aged citizens, others argue its there family who should be responsible for the well being. In this essay, I will try to explain how both the families and government are equally responsible for such senior citizens well being in the society.

To Begin with, lets first explore, why a government should be responsible? Government always taxes people with various deduction during their employment they are Income tax and Pensions. while income tax are something which can be used for the societal and social development , pensions are the one which are deducted for individual retirement benefits. I think a part of this fund can be used for the senior citizen's benefit .

On the other side, remembering the growing population and the unemployment rate in the country, Government can only support the basic requirement of any individual as it has to be shared evenly across the overall population. This now makes the family to be equally responsible for them to support a senior member of their family with such financial aid. This not only makes them a responsible son or daughter or a relative of the old aged parent but also makes them a responsible citizen by supporting the government in lessening their financial burden. This indirectly will help the government to increase their facility as now their funds are limited by these families.

Based on the argument presented above, I here by conclude that Old age care is not only a responsibility of the government but every family should be equally responsible. This sharing of responsibility not only makes us as a proud family member but also a better citizen who makes the Country friendly across all the age groups,
