The technological world has brought many modifications to make our lives effortless and easier. One of those inventions is the internet which serves the interactions with our loved ones online through social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. However, this certain change in lifestyle has brought a mixed bag of boons and bane, yet there are more advantages to the use of social media in our daily lives.
On the constructive part, society is blessed with numerous benefits because of the presence of which are worth mentioning. To begin with, due to social media creation, people are easily communicating with their near and dear ones instantly and quickly rather than sending letters via post and waiting for days to get a response. For instance, a message over WhatsApp delivers quickly within a seconds to the receiver via sender with the help of the internet and smartphone instead of posting letters and waiting for weeks to get a response. Plus, a person can virtually meet his or her loved one through social media Apps if they are long distances away from each other. To exemplify, long-distance relationship people communicate with their partners through video call that happens via Instagram and WhatsApp. Moreover, posting news over Twitter and Facebook spreads simply and easily across the globe to daily readers which have brought a beneficial factor to modern society.
On the destructive part, there appear to be potential shortcomings of this trend. Chiefly, these days multiple scams such as fraud and harassment are happening over social media websites where many innocent individuals become victims. Furthermore, there are a myriad number of false news spreads over Instagram and Facebook, however, it has been encountered with the help of Twitter which is nowadays instant tech news to our society.
Suffice to say, every creation has its merits and demerits. Therefore, the invention of social media has brought more advantages to our mankind.
