Things like puzzles, board games and pictures can contribute to a child’s development. What would you give a child to help him/her develop and why? Give details and examples in your explanation.
Engagement of children in various activities like puzzles, board games and pictures can be a very vital contribution to the child's growth. I am going to shed some light on some of the activities which is quintessential for children development along with the reasons of doing it.
Firstly, Children should engage themselves in activities like puzzles because when children flip, turn, remove etc, pieces of the puzzle, they are learning the connection between their hand and their eyes. The eyes see the puzzle, and the brain then envisions how the puzzle needs to look for what piece need to be found and placed. Then the brain, eyes and hands work together to find the piece, manipulate it accordingly and fit it into the puzzle accurately.
Secondly, board games are another important facet, in which children should be engaged on a daily basis. The reason for this is that it help the kids to send signals in small tiny particles to brain to recognize objects and form multiple strategies to win the game. In fact, I have not played so many board games during my childhood. For example, kid who engage themselves in more than one form of board games were found to be more accurate in predicting the name of the object as compared to other students who play few board games only.
To conclude, Children would be able to reach to their higher level of potential only If they engage themselves in things like puzzles and board games.
