animals extinction

Essay topics:

animals extinction

Some controversy has been generated about what caused the mass extinction that happened at the end of the Triassic period 200 million years ago. The reading states that there are three possible explanations for this event. However, the author argues that none of these points are sound right.

The first point of dispute is if fluctuation of the see lever led to the mass extiction. The lecturer explains that sea animals did not affect by the change of sea levels if they happen gradually. She adds that basically the change that happened at the end of Triassic period occured over a long time, actually about millions of years. Therefore, it is impossible that changing of the sea levels could have caused animals to disappear. By contrast, the writer is simply condent to accept the explanation of sea level change.

The second controversial issue is about if sulfur dioxied led to change in the climate. According to the professor, it is true that there were many volcanic activities at the end of the Triassic period. Thus, the sulfur dioxide ultimately realsed on the atmosphere from active volconoes. However, these molecules did not stay long enough in the atomosphere to caused the cooling effect. In addition, the sulfur dioxed molecules bind with water molecules and eventually fall as rain. In spite that surprisingly the writer does not take the idea of returing of the sulfur dioxed to the Earth as rain in his account.

The final point of depate is the question of the asteroid that hit the Earth could have caused the animals' extinction. The speaker asserts that the writer's opnion that the materials that thrown up due to the asteriod strike is totally unconvincing. The carter that had been found on was dated to 12 million years before the extinction that is a really long time to connected to the species extinction. Despite that possible rationale, the writer ignores all these potential explanations.

We are expecting: No. of Words: 350 while No. of Different Words: 200
Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:

para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.

So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:

reasons == advantages or

reasons == disadvantages

for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.

or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
