When it comes to the usage of fossil fuels for the next twenty years, some people believe that the usage will increase, while some believe that the usage will decrease, personally, I believe that the usage of fossil fuels will decline in the coming twenty years for two reasons, which I will examine in the following essay.
To begin with, due to the latest technological advancements, people are encouraged to shift from using fossil fuels for energy to more renewable and clean energy sources. To illustrate, the invention of electric cars, especially Tesla, provided a great alternative for people, since it runs purely on electricity, which is cheaper than petrol. Moreover, this invention motivated many people to shift from vehicles that run on fuel to electric cars, which reduces the usage of fossil fuels. We can already notice this effect in the USA, where more and more people are purchasing the Tesla, electric cars, over the cars that run on gasoline. For instance, my uncle, who is 58 years old, used cars that run on petrol all his life, even he purchased a new electric car. I am sure that with coming advancements in science, new inventions will surely shift towards an eco-friendlier source of energy.
Furthermore, excessive usage of fossil fuels will lead to adverse consequences. We, the people, cannot afford to cause any more damage to the environment, since there has been enough damage already caused by human activities like deforestation, sand mining, coal-burning, and many others. For example, global warming, one of the consequences, which we face now, is mainly due to the excessive level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which is mainly produced by the incineration of fossil fuels. Many world nations are introducing stringent laws to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide to protect the earth from further deterioration. For instance, recently all the world nations pledged to reduce their carbon dioxide emission by half by 2050. With the laws becoming more and more strict, the usage of fossil fuels will reduce in twenty years.
In conclusion, fossil fuels usage will surely reduce in the coming twenty years. This is because of the latest technological advancements, which are moving towards eco-friendlier options and importance to preserve the earth from further degradation.

Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:
para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.
So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:
reasons == advantages or
reasons == disadvantages
for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
