Essay topics:

Imagine that a professor requires students to learn as much as possible about a subject in a
short period of life. Is it better for the professor to require students to work together in a group,
or is it better to require students to work alone?

Throughout history, professors have always been searching effective methods to help students learn the subjects more efficiently in a short period. In this vein, while some teachers believe that working alone on subject is a beneficial method, others prefer to require students to work in groups in order to grasp the subjects more quickly and deeply. I, personally, concur with the second group for two main reasons, on which I will elaborate in the following paragraphs.
First of all, working in a group assists pupils to observe the topic through various viewpoints, which is utterly advantageous for them to understand the topic profoundly. It is clear that students have numerous ideas and opinions regarding the subject they are learning. Working in a team enables them to share and exchange their thoughts in the terms of the topic. Sharing and hearing other learners’ ideas, provides students with this golden opportunity to examine the subject from various aspects; as a result, they horizon about the topic is being broaden . The more ideas and novel perceptions they hear, the deeper they perceive the lessons. Therefore, in a short amount of time, students can gain valuable information regarding the subject proposing in the class by the assist of each other .
The other reason worth mentioning is that given the possibility of dividing the different parts of the topic among the group members, students possess more time in order to study more efficiently without being nervous, which is helpful for them to learn the topic more conveniently in a shorter amount of time. It goes without saying that, working alone, pupils have to perform all steps of learning by themselves, making them nervous and anxious. Therefore, they may not be able to assign an adequate amount of time to study and grasp the topic. On the other hand, when learners work in a group, each member can own a specific responsibility. For example, one member can be in charge of searching the resources and gathering information, and another one can possess the responsibility of explaining the different facet of the topic to other students. Thus, each one of them can dedicate a reasonable amount of time on studying and learn more swiftly. My own experience is a compelling example of this. As a college student, we were required to study an arduous topic. Being aware of the challenge, our professor divided us into several groups. Thus, as group members, each of us was handling one specific duty. Thanks to the professor’s excellent method, we were capable of gaining information in a short period of time without being worried about that challenging topic, and learn it profoundly. Had the professor not utilized this method, we would not have understood the subject.
In conclusion, I believe that it is more beneficial if the professor asks pupils to work in groups in order to learn better. Not only do students share their ideas among each other, but they also spend more time studying without being stressed out.

---------------------
Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:

para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.

So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:

reasons == advantages or

reasons == disadvantages

for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.

or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
