The reading asserts that, human beings have been looking for a secure and beneficial way for running a new business. One of the advantageous ways to start business is buying a franchise. The owner and the buyer reach an agreement in order to sell the products under certain rules and share percent of sales with each other. The lecture, however, finds the idea dubious and casts doubt on the reasons proposed by the reading passage.
First the author argues that, the buyer have access to reliable suppliers of the goods and services because of the head company. Conversely, the lecture brings up the idea that, the franchising companies may force the buyers to buy specific foods and services,which are overprice. And the buyers can provide these services and materials much cheaper individually.
Furthermore, the reading passage holds the view that, by franchising people can save money on advertising since the franchise owner already paid the expensive advertising. On the other hand, the professor underlines the fact that, the parent company receive 6 percentage of the sales, which is quite a lot of money. Besides, the franchise owner advertise their own products and brands. Thus it would not only not beneficial, but also more expensive rather than direct advertising.
Finally, it is stated in the reading that, franchising pave a way for having a secure vocation. In contrast, the speaker offers another choice that people wanting start new business can buy the whole independent business from the owners instead of franchising. It would be more beneficial and secure.

We are expecting: No. of Words: 350 while No. of Different Words: 200
Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:
para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.
So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:
reasons == advantages or
reasons == disadvantages
for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
