Some people like to keep a record of their own experiences by uploading pictures and other information to social-networking sites. Other people prefer not to create such records. Which approach do you prefer, and why?
In the modern world, social media has become a platform for people to share their ideas, feelings, and experiences. For me, I prefer not to create records on the social media because of the following reasons.
First of all, people who I don’t notice may fully realize my routine and my family details. They may do harm to my family members if they intend to do it. For instance, there was a famous pop singer who were fond of posting everything on her Instagram. She had posted the exterior and interior of her house, and the cars which she and her daughter usually took. She had told what private school her daughter went into. She also posted a family photo taken on her father’s birthday. In this way, people who kept in touch of her really realized her that one day her daughter was kidnapped while walking from the campus to her car. Although she eventually took her daughter back without any harm, her daughter was so shocked that she could fall asleep at night alone for a year. As a result, we know that it is improper to disclose private things to the public.
Secondly, as a changeable person, I always feel regretful about what I have done. If I
have post something that I don’t want people to know, there’s nothing I can do to compensate since people have already take a snapshot. Take me as an example; there was a time that I wanted to release my pressure so I post my failed math test paper on the Facebook. Also, I wrote how hard I have studied for this test. Furthermore, I complained about how bad the questions were given. Three days later, I regretted because my friends would all know my poor grade, looked down on me, and, more worse, humiliated me. I the post right away but some of my friends had read it, took a snapshot, and transferred to other students. When I met my classmates, I could feel that all of them despised me which made me pretty uncomfortable. As a consequence, I learn a lesson and stop using the online social media.
In conclusion, I prefer not to create records on the social media. This is because I may put my family members in danger and make myself depressed by letting others know my scandals.
