The competitiveness in jobs makes it difficult for parents to take out enough time for their children. So, when parents have some time, I believe that they should spend it in helping kids with school work. This will help them ace in school work and also solve their problems regarding school work.
First of all, kids will secure good grades. In my country each lecture lasts for about 45 minutes and after the lecture teacher gives us plenty of home work. It is sometimes difficult to understand the home work. Additionally, there are so many students in our class that teacher cannot pay attention to each and every one. So, when parents are having free time, they should help their pupil in understanding the work. This will improve their understanding of the subject and eventually will get good grades in the exam.
Furthermore, some of the kids are too shy to ask for help from teachers. When some children have problems, they never stand and ask questions in the class. They either take help from friends or their parents. If parents spend some time every day or on weekends then this kids can ask their difficulties and can solve their problems. For instance, my friend in my class is so shy to ask her difficulties in the class that her parents need to pay special attention to her class work.
Finally, Studying with parents can be fun too. There are several games available in the market which are designed in such a way that it helps students to understand the important concept of their subject by playing them. It is best way for parents as well as children to get involved in such activity. For example, my niece and my sister spend lot of time on dream box on i-pad which is very interactive and fun learning opportunity for preschoolers. She loves it.
In conclusion, although, games are essential for overall growth of the children, they can be played with our friends but for schoolwork parents time is essential to improve score , to understand the concept. It will help a lot in future classes.
