You have a choice of movies to see What influences you the most in choosing which movie to see
Many elements are taken into consideration when people choose a movie to watch. Some of these include the film's genre, reviews, and cast. For me, the most important factor is what people say about the film, followed by the type of film. I don't care which actors make up the cast, as long as the film is good.
When deciding whether to watch a movie, I first look at the reviews, how people rate the movie and what they think. I read the reviews to see if it's right for me and it doesn't have any trigger scenes. Only then can I decide whether it's worth watching or not.
Once I'm sure I want to watch a particular movie, I look at the genre of the movie next. People might argue that this is the first thing to consider, but since I'm not very picky in this area, it's not my first priority. I like pretty much all kinds of movies, though I prefer comedy and historical dramas over others. So if I had to choose between a period drama or a sci-fi film, my first choice would be the former.
Another thing people keep in mind is the cast. Some people watch a movie just because their favorite actors are in it, or avoid it completely if there's someone they don't like. However, I don't care which actors are cast in the film, as long as they can do their job well. However, when I see my favorite actor, I naturally get excited to see them play a role in the movie, but that won't be a big motivator for me to watch a movie.
In short, I have a rather unorthodox way of choosing a film. Unlike most people, I read the reviews first and ask people what they think, then look at the genre of the film. Also, I never think about the actors who will be cast in the film as long as they can play their role well and live up to their character. I can glean this from the reviews and ratings of the movie.
