Although it’s a new technology, solar energy provides benefits to the entire world. First, solar energy eliminates our reliance on non-renewable fossil fuels. Additionally, solar energy is non-pollutant, which makes it better for everyone. Finally, there is almost no maintenance as solar panels have a long life span without regular maintenance. So, the benefits seem to be overwhelmingly positive and supportive of further production
The writer and the lecturer both argue the benefits of solar panel energy. The author claims solar energy only provides benefits while the professor argues that some points of building a solar energy panel might be not that environment-friendly but in the overall process, it will come with great benefits.
Firstly, according to the reading passage, solar energy reduces the dependency on fossil-fuels and unrenewable energy resources. The author adds solar energy could be the great replacement of current main energy resources since the consumption of it not bring any negative outcomes. On the other hand, even though the lecturer agrees with this claim made by the author, he also discusses that to be able to build a solar energy panel, a great amount of fossil fuel energy needed to be used, therefore, since the usage of fossil fuel will be involved the outcome will not cost a zero harm as it's mentioned on the reading passage. And he continues by saying this situation comes with question marks about the overall energy consumption type, whether it eliminates fossil fuel usage completely or not.
Secondly, the author claims that using solar energy would not create any pollution or harmful products. And he compares this zero side effects with the current energy source's negative outcomes such as unpleasant smell, sounds etc.. Meanwhile, the professor agrees with the mentioned reasons from the reading passage and he also adds that there will be greater tax benefits of using solar energy too.
Lastly, both the author and the lecturer agrees that the financial benefits of this particular energy sources would be crucially great since for building a solar panel is not costly and this panel can be used for a long period of time. The reading passage says, there will be financial benefits where the lecturer adds the financial benefits are amazingly compounded.
