Educating children is a more difficult task today than it was in the past because they spend so much time on cell phone, online games, and social networking Web site.
From the very first day of human era on this planet, accumulating knowledge has been the golden key to make progress and change the life for better. In this view, educating children is of high importance because our posterity would make up the future societies and a good education today, would yield a more successful society tommorow. In a matter of education, I personally believe that today educating children is a lot more difficult than it was before. I try to elaborate on my reasons in the following paragraphs.
first, I think that nowadays the world is much more complex and as time passes, it will get more complicated. Due to recent developments of the internet and emergence of social media, there are a lot of thoughts and worldviews spreading worldwide. In a world with a lot of new idealogies and beliefs, adults would get confused, let alone the children. As a famous example, I can remember an English teenager who joined ISIS to conduct terrorist attacks in middle east. when you think of this incident, you may wonder how on earth is possible that an inocent looking girl in a developed country leave her life and joins the extremist terrorists. But if you delve into the deep, you may come with a conclusion that today the world is full of dangerous beliefs that were not present in the past. These new ideologies are spread everywhere and we should be really worried if we care enough about our children.
Secondly, I believe that in the technology-boom era, there are a lot of distractions which can impede a child's way to reach success in his future life. today, children are getting involved with the internet and the entertainment industry in such a low age that it may jeopardize their mental and somatic health. everyday, more and more underaged children are getting into violent games and bloodletting is becoming a usual scene for our children in this era. spending a lot of time on such video games can harm them psychologically and also make them to choose a sedentary way of life, which eventuates in overweghting and possible ramifications of child obesity. As a real instance, when I compare me with my younger cousins, there is huge and noticeable difference in our lifestyles. I used to play practical games outdoors everyday, while they are spending most of their time playing play Station or exploring their Instagram feed.
In general, I think that raising a child is getting harder everyday. With emergence of new ideologies and principles everyday, we should be wary of our children’s exposure to those tenets. In addition, there are a lot of distracting activities like video games and social media that can frustrate a child’s mental and physical growth, which were not influential in the past. because of those mentioned reasons, I think that we all should be careful about the way our children are invovled with new technologies. In such young age they cannot distinguish all the consequences, so it is their parents duty to care about that affair.
