FROGS

Essay topics:

FROGS

The reading and the lecture discuss whether the solutions of reading for protecting frogs from declining and even extinction are good or not. The reading gives three solutions for this problem and says that they reduce declining. However, the professor refutes all solutions and states that they are not adequate.

First, reduce the using of pesticides by farmers. The reading claims that pesticides cause a problem for frogs and the farmers should do not use this chemical substance or reduce them in farmland. On the other hand, the professor states that the farmers use pesticides based on the instruction and follow strict regular rules. Moreover, this solution is not an economical solution and brings about some problems for farmers.

In addition, the fungus is another factor of frog declining. According to the passage, the reason of frogs’ thick skin is the fungus, then researchers have found that by using heat can kill the fungus. In contrast, the lecture refutes this idea and says that the fungus damage individual frogs,so using this method for a large scale is very hard. In addition, it does not prevent the offshore species, then they must use for every generation and it is very expensive.

Finally, human activity is another cause of frog declining. Despite the fact that human activity provides some serious problem for frogs’ habitats and vanish the water and wetland habitats, the global warming is the main reason for damaging water habitats. The professor states that in the last years the global warming has increased and evaporated the water. Therefore, the global warming extinct not only frog habitats, but also other species.
