The golden frog
The article and the lecturer are both about The golden frog. While the article's author proposes some techniques that can be used to protect the frogs from the fungus effection, the lecturer in the listening passage opposes these methods. She believe that these wayes are ineffective.
First, the reading starts by stating that we can use a special bacteria to protect the frogs skin. The professor, however, disagrees. She poins out that the affict of these bacteria is temprary thus, it will not last for a long time.
Second, the artice also discusses that we can move the frogs into another place. The lecturer is doubtful that this is correct. She mentions that even is we moved them, there still other animals that hold the same fungus. So when frogs contact with them, the will be infected by the fungus.
Finally, the writer holds that frogs sometimes can protect themselve naturaly by controlling their temprature and rise it up.On the other hand, the professor thinks that there are flaws in the author's argument. She states that Although this way is effective, it cost a lot of frogs energy. As a result, some of them can die.
