The reading discusses a fascinating topic pertaining to the skeptical evidence related to the bee's fossils which have been found in Arizona and provides several reasons of support. However, the professor in the lecture believes that these reasons which have been mentioned in the reading are not convience and opposes each of the author's reasons.

In contrast, the professor explains that it is true we do not have the fossils of 200 million years ago, but the reason is that the resins which produced by tree and preserved the bee during that time was very rare, so, the fossils of that time could not be remains. Hence, the lack of fossils of 200 million years ago not mean that the bees were not exist that time.
Furthermore, the author of the reading says that there were not any flowers at 200 million years ago which are the main food source of the bees, but the professor explains that the bees were exist before flowers and the early bees utillized from another type of plants for feeding during that time.
Finally, the author of the reading says that the structure of the nest chambers of bees in Arizona lack of some details such as caps in compaire to the modern bee. In the lecture the professor explans that the chemical analysis of the chamber such as water proof substance demonstrated and confirmed that these are similar to the chambers which have been made by modern bees.
