Integrated writing – TPO24
The professor provides 3 reasons which contradict with the hypothesis presented in the writing based on revealed materials in T. rex bones that seem to be remains of blood vessels, red blood cells, and collagen matrix.
First, he stated that existing branching channel inside the leg bone cannot indicate the presence of blood vessels, however, it can be due to something else like bacteria whose activity causes creating hollow channels and they remain organic soft materials inside the bone.
Second, His idea is cast doubt with the reading state of the presence of red blood cells because of existing spheres like red blood cells inside inner parts of the bone. He believes that this cannot be red blood cell and the presence of iron could be from another event origin that would reddish during the time.
Finally, his statement is contradicting with the last hypothesis of the writing and he said that collagen cannot endure about 70 million years inside the leg bone of T. rex. He argues that it is impossible this happen and he states that origin of this collagen is likely from the skin of researcher who handling the bone.
Therefore, all reasons of the writer about the remaining of the actual tissues inside the bones of the T. rex rejected by the professor statements.
