living on astroids
The reading states that sending human to astroide is a good idea to make a colony and provides three reasons of support. However, the professor explains that these ideas are not practical and refutes each of the author's reason.
First, the reading states that because astroides have low gravirty, and they are small so, this low gravity would make taking off and landing easier. Nevertheless the professor explains that these low gravity would cause astronauts to lose their muscle, and it would lead to a decrease in bone density, so astronauts would suffer in this situation.
Second, the reading states that people can reach many valueable element such as platinum. The professor explain that the cost of the trip is high, and it decrease the benefit of finding these elements.
Third, the reading claims that astroides are more reachable than other planets because spacecrafts need less for the trip back to Earth. The professor refutes this point, and explains that some astroides are close to Earth now, but they are moving away, to that getting back from astroides would be a challenge.,
