The essay is about advantages of team work in a new project. To be specific, it talks about the positive impact of group work in a project but the lecture opposes the essay by presenting negative consequences working in a team.
To begin with, according to the author, workers get more resources and it is helpful to generate grandiose solutions to the project implementation. On the contrary, lecturer claims that the people get more time and free ride and do not concentrate on their duties which is not beneficial to the project. Workers do not feel responsible for the task that are provided to them.
Secondly, the author of the essay claims that workers feel better to work as they are decision makers. Whereas, listening section contradicts it and says that there is no any recognition but as a whole. No name is listed as a reward. It results developing attitude towards the project and team members. Moreover, project can not move very quickly as there are so many meetings to discuss and develop the strategies of project and more time is needed for consent.
Finally, according to the essay, workers get more chance for their recognition or to shine but the speaker do not agree and says that when an influence-able person says something about project it may affect the whole developing idea and drop the whole work. The whole project may convenience by a person so people with creativity do not get chance. Unfortunately, if the project fails, all the members are responsible though they are not related to the developed idea.
