Out of the following three things, which one would you prefer to regulate in order to improve your health?
the kind of food you eat
the amount of exercise
the amount of stress in your life

Nowadays, our society has witnessed the unprecedented accumulation of material affluence, and thus more and more people attach great importance to the improvement of their health states. At this time, a regular controversy arises. Some people reckon that the management of daily food is the most critical method that exerts beneficial effects on our health, while others hold a reverse viewpoint that we should control the amount of our stress we encounter every day. As far as I am concerned, doing exercise should be viewed as a superior option in terms of improving health.

In the first place, exercising is conducive to our physical health. In modern society, sitting in front of computers all day and night, individuals can easily have some health problems, such as eye strains and chronic illnesses in their necks. At this time, we had better do some exercise to build our bodies and refresh ourselves. Workouts can not only accelerate blood circulation but also provide valuable opportunities for us to stretch our arms and legs in order to possess a robust body. Take me as an example. When I was in middle high school, I was always busy with my studies, and never spent some spare time doing exercise. All the time I saved was used to spend on studying and reading some books that could enrich my knowledge and improve my academic performance in the final exam. Gradually, I found I always got some diseases and hardly recovered from even the small flu. At that moment, I started to do some exercise, and eventually, I possess a better body and keep healthy from that moment.

In addition, it is also advisable for us to exercise since it also delivers some benefits to our mental health. Nowadays, people are enduring more and more pressure caused by earning money and living, and they rarely have some chances to really unwind their tired hearts. At this moment, taking some exercise can help us retrieve the peace of our life and create a wonderland for us to really escape from the hustle and rustle of life. For example, one of my friends, Lucy, entered a company listed in Fortune 500 after graduation. Every day after work, she always gets exhausted and her mind is still enslaved by the work. Under this circumstance, she would like to swim in the pool to relax herself. After the exercise, she can retrieve the energy again, and also get deep relaxation and a fresh mind.

Admittedly, controlling what you eat and the stress you face in life also functions well sometimes. A healthier recipe can improve the daily nutrition you ingest, and managing the stress you have to deal with can also facilitate the balance between work and life. However, we should also comprehend that these practices sometimes need more delicate skills and plans. After a whole day's work or study, these suggestions can not readily handle the problems. We have already burned out and don't have the energy to think about the recipe thoroughly, and some pressure is also unavoidable and out of our control.

In a nutshell, managing the amount of exercise is the best way for us to improve our health. On no account should we ignore the effects of workouts on physical and mental health, and a better body can definitely constitute a steppingstone for our future development.
