Some people spend their entire lives in one place. Others move a number of times throughout their lives, looking for a better job, house, community, or even climate. Which do you prefer: staying in one place or moving in search of another place? Use reaso

The world is getting smaller. With the development of advance transportation systems, people can move easily from one place to another around the world. Some people spend all of their life in one place, because they enjoy a strong, tight relationship with their neighbors and communities. Some live a somewhat transient life because of work requirement or because the prefer to experience different places and cultures. I prefer to move places to places throughout my life.

First, I like to travel to find more work opportunities. I am from Vietnam where there aren’t many good job opportunities for recent college graduates. Many graduate students have to find job in different industries that they weren’t trained for. Others often have to wait for years to get a job. After spending several years in school, I would like to be able to apply my knowledge and skills in a job I like and in an environment that fosters further development.

Second, living in different places gives us a chance to experience new cultures. It always excites me to meet people of different background, those who speak different languages, eat different foods, and play different type of music. Living in a new place would also challenge my adaptability and make me become more understanding of the world I live in. This will ultimately make me become a better person.

Third, I like to travel and live in difference places because the world is so diverse, so beautiful and has so many things to offer. I always dream to see the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay area. I also like to see the Louvre in France, the site of Berlin Wall in Germany that marks a significant conflict in history. I also would like to climb the mountain tops of the Himalaya or the sand dunes of the desert in Sub-Saharan Africa.

I have an uncle who travels many places for work who has influenced my desired to travel and explore the world.

The choice between staying in one place and moving depends on individuals. My dream is being able to live, work, and travel places.
