summarise the points made in the lecture being sure to explain how they cast doubt on specific points made in the reading passage

The reading passage mentions there are three reasons to explain why the "let it burn" policy is not a good idea, but the lecture disagrees with these reasons.
First, in the reading, the destruction of vegetation is a severe issue but according to the lecture, the damage of this fire will be compensated with the creation of new trees and it's an opportunity to have new plants. For example, when the large trees are gone, there is an open and unshaded space for small trees to grow, or the heat will create the right conditions for that kind of species that grow in warm weather.
The second reason on the passage is about animals and putting their lives in danger, making them escape, ruining their habitats and lack of food versus the woman in the lecture believes the wildlife will be recovered and also this is a new opportunity too since creation of small trees after the fire will be a good source of food for small animals like rabbits and it attracts predators and help them to get more food.
The last problem is the tourist attraction of the park. The reading assumes these fires will decrease the visitors. Thereinafter local businesses will lose their customers. But the lecture points out that it's not a true statement since these fires need the combination of strong winds and dry weather so it’s rare and won't happen every year. Therefore their probability is not that much to affect the touristic aspect of the land.
