Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they respond to the specific concerns presented in the reading passage.
The reading and the lecture discuss about many problems of sending huams to Mars. The reading states the three main issues which the Mars misssion is faced, but the lecturer suggest thet many solutions on these problems are provided. She explained the solutions as are listing below:
First, the reading argues about the deficiancy of food, water and oxygen in the two-year trip to the Mars. In the meantime, the lecturer suggests that a specific procedure which is hydroponix, will allow astronauts to have enough food, fresh air and water. She mentions that by means of this solution, astronauts could cultivate many plants without any soil, to provide themselves food ,and also by absorbing carbon dioxide, they will have fresh air, and they could recycle their waste water az well.
Secondly, according to the text, it is harmful for astronauts to be in zero-gravity condition lasting too long. On the other hand, the lecturer disputs that many similar experences had been achieved through previous space trips and she believes that based on these experences, regular excersie and taking vitamin pills as additional sources, will solve the health problems.
Finally, the text claims that for astronauts it would be very hazardous to be in exposure of the space radiation. While the lecturer explains that solar radiations are only sporadically and many instruments are used to detect the solar radiation, in order to prevent the exposure of being steadily in the radiations. In addition, she says that, nowadays, many light weight shelters are also used for protecting the spaceship from danagraous radiations.
