Essay topics:

Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on the specific points made in the reading passage.

The reading passage and accompanying lecture elucidate the merits of Pterosaurs' flying power in contrast to their inability. While the reading highlights certain information indicating Pterosaurs could not fly, the lecture casts doubt upon three criticisms presented in the reading.

Primarily, the reading argues that Pterosaurs were cold-blooded animals and cold-blooded animals -due to their metabolism rate, which needs high energy for fly- could not fly. Conversely, the lecture maintains that Pterosaurs' fossils are dense and hair-covering-like for-covering. This hairy-covered style indicates that can supply enough energy for warm-blooded animals which are needed in cold climates. Thus, it suggests that it could supply enough energy for flying.

Secondly, the reading claims that Pterosaurs were large animals and due to their high body weight, they could not flap their wings for flying. The lecture, however, challenges this point, stating that there were anatomical features that able Pterosaurs' weight light for their size. Halo - light bone- could help Pterosaurs to capture their weight low despite their large body frames. Consequently, Pterosaurs could flap their wings due to the low-weight structure.

The third criticism outlined in the reading proposes that large pterosaurs would have needed big, powerful muscles in their back legs to launch themselves into the air, but based on their fossils we know that their back structure was small and weak to run fast or jump. on the other hand, the lecture delves into the bird's and Pterosaurs' limbs structure. She says that birds use their hindlimbs for walking on the ground and they have two legs. In contrast, Pterosaurs had 4 legs and they used their four limbs to push the ground to run fast and jump high enough into the air.

In conclusion, while the reading expresses reservations about Pterosaurs' fly disability, the lecture effectively refutes and counters these criticisms.
