TPO-01 - Integrated Writing Task In the United States, employees typically work five days a week for eight hours each day. However, many employees want to work a four-day week and are willing to accept less pay inorder to do so. A mandatory policy requiri

Along with opposing the reading article, the lecture shows the drawbacks of the four days work habit in a week. The disagreements illustrated below with the proper example.

Firstly, In the passage, it's been stated that if a person works 4 days a week instead of 5 days, it will cost less money to the companies gaining more work from the employees. As a reason, it's been said that working only 4 days in a week the employee will get enough time to take rest, to spend quality time with family and in return, they will provide flawless work to the employers. It's true in a sense that employees getting enough time to focus their attention anywhere else rather working in a company though are get paid less amount working for only 4 days in a week. In a hackneyed sense, it may seem that giving this opportunity company has to lose less amount of money rather paying its employees for 5 days. The lecture has clearly broken the myth that providing this opportunity a company cannot be well benefitted due to some reasons. A company needs backup people to accomplish the rest of the works left by the employees who are working for 4 days in a week. In return, a company has to spend more money hiring more employees and giving them other facilities. If we say about the medical facilities it remains same for the employees who are working for 4 days in a week instead of 5 days. It clearly implies that a company cannot be well benefited if it allows its workers to work 4 days in a week instead of 5 days.

Secondly, Now if we think this issue in another way like if a company give its employees 4 days working facilities then for sure that company will try to accomplish all of its works within 4 days instead of 5 days. The consequence of this will bring a lot more working pressure to its employees and eventually employees will get demotivated soon. As the same time workers will not work naturally or loving the work. This will lead to them a robotic life which will diminish the higher life expectency. As they will get paid only 80 percent remuneration in return for highly burdensome work their quest to switch the job will increase to a great extent. On the other hand, if management is bound to allow its employees 4 days working instead of 5 days in the time of peak working days, they will surely fire those who seek 4 days work period. It is really harmful to the career of the employees.

So, what was stated in the passage, the audio lecture defied each and every single logic showing that 4 working days cannot fulfill the requirements which is done in 5 days. In a simple view, it may seem that allowing employees for 4 working days in a week rather 5 days has much more advantage in the perspective of a company or even an employee but finally, the scrutinized analysis persuades that allowing employees only for 4 days cannot have the same impact is it was done working for 5 days.
