In the given sets of audio material, the main topic is whether the illustration which found recently was the Austen portrait or not. While the author has focused on those points which revealed it was true, the speaker in the follow-up material cast doubt on them in number of ways.

The first point mentioned in the article is that Austen family claimed that even after a long period of time it was simple for them to recognize that the portrait has been drown bases of Jane appearance. However, this was questioned by the lecturer as he asserted that this sketch was related to the time that Jane dead about 70 years ago. So, none of the contender could not see Austen's face.

Moreover, according to the essay, since the previous sketch of Austen had high level of resemblance to the recent one, it was Austen's portrait. Nevertheless, the professor has stated that this assumption has some flaws as other members of her extended family with high level of similarity might be the subject of this full-length portrait.

Last but not least, the author declared that the some clear evidence revealed that this picture was referred to the Humpery's painting, simultaneously the time when Austen was teenager. Nonetheless, according to the lecturer, the stamp which the painter used was dated back to a duration when Jane was not a teenager but an adult.
