Essay topics:

TPO 17 integrated the population of birds is decreasing because of three reasons:
human populations are expanding
agricultural activities are increasing
the usage of chemical pesticides are increasing.

The article asserts that growing population of humans and increased usage of chemical agricultural additives have affected the wildlife negatively and caused a decrease in birds' population in the USA. Notwithstanding, the professor does not agree with the justifications written by the author and claims that they are completely unconvincing. Her explanations are addressed as the following.

First of all, the passage insists that there will be a continuous disappearance in birds' natural habitats owing to the expansion of mankinds' population. However, the educator overthrows this opinion inasmuch as she thinks that urban growth has cause negative effects on "some" birds and simultaneously has improved the possibility of living for other types of birds, such as pigeons, hawks, falcons, and landfills. She declares that the growth of humans' population is not going to decline the population of birds uniformly; in other words, some types shrink and some others grow.

Secondly, the reading claims that increasing agricultural activities for fulfilling people's requirements is another assumption of birds' population decline. Nonetheless, the teacher refutes this idea due to the fact that she believes the USA is gradually decreasing the utilization of lands for agricultural purposes each and every year. This objective is achievable thanks to the introduction of state-of-the-art productive crops that need smaller areas of lands.

Tertiary, the article upholds that the exploitation of chemical pesticides will shrink the population of birds as well as two aforemetioned justifications. Nevertheless, the lecturer refutes this notion, mainly because she thinks that new pesticides are less toxic than former traditional ones. Moreover, there is a growing trend of using pest-resistance crops which are not affected by chemicals; thus, they do not harm birds' population, and the requirement of pesticides will eventually decreased.
