The reading and the listening are about buzzing which is defined as the process of hire the buzzers by advertisement companies to promote their products. The author believe that it is a controversial idea and he provides three bad affects of this. The lecturer challenges the statement made by the author. He is of opinion that it is not mis-leading endorsement idea.
First of all, the writer suggests that paid advertisement, which are done by buzzers, can be presented incorrect information about buzzing thing. The lecturer, however, refutes the idea that company hires that people which use and like their products, so information renders by them is not wrong or mis-leading.
Secondly, the writer claims that people who are hired as buzzers act as private person and for that reason, most of the people believe in them and later on, can be harmed. The speaker, on the other hand, rejects this point by asserting that scenario is totally opposite as presented in the reading. He says that people asked a lot more detailed question about product including price, value, and how long can be use etc. So, it is not easy to convince them.
In the last, it is stated that social relationship has been mistrusted when individuals come to know about their hidden agenda. On the flip side, the lecturer, doubts the point by asserting that if product is not good enough then no company will advertise it. He further highlights the idea by saying that when people try buzzing products and find their good quality as it is mentioned by the buzzer, they feel the loyal and trustworthy approach. Hence, it improves the relationships.
