Reading talks about many critics wants ethanol fuel which derived from plants should be not replaced by gasoline for several reasons. The lecturer, on the other hand casts doubts on all claims made in the article.
First of all, writer states that ethanol fuel would not help to maintain atmosphere heat while burned. Because it will release carbon dioxide which has play important role in global climate. Thus, ethanol will not help to solve environmental problems. However, the professor refuse well due to production of carbon dioxide the temperature of atmosphere would be interrupted. He argues, as article mentions by burning ethanol fuel the greenhouse gas will spread into environment is right but, plants such as corn will absorb all greenhouse gas. So, the atmosphere heat will remain constant.
Second, reading suggests that ethanol fuel will eliminate available plants for uses of other fuel. For example, corn plants which is present in America is best source to feed farm animal such as cows and chicken. On contrary, the lecture claims that source for food will be disappear for mammals. Furthermore, he argues that cellulose which are found in many plants will appeared while ethanol fuel burned is the best source for animal feeding.
Finally, article suggests that although price of ethanol fuel and gasoline are same in the United stated which cost the government 11$ billion since 30 years. If government stop helping to ethanol producer no more price will be compete. However, the professor says it is meaningful that government control the price of ethanol, if the population increased the price of ethanol fuel will remain same. He puts forth, if the production get three time greater and people develop the interests regarding consumption of ethanol fuel, the price will trap suddenly.
