The reading states that large dinosaur like edmomtosaurus lived millions years ago in herds and they migrated to south in winter. However the lecturer doesn't believe this and she said that the reasons of the essay are not convincing.
First, the article claims that the edmontosaurs' diet let them to migrate. because they live on plant food which in the arctic area in winter they should migrate to south to find food.In contrasty, the lecturer said in 100 million years ago the wether in arctic was warmer. Specialy in the 24 hours day in summer, a lot of plant flourish and make a huge food resorvoir for dinosaurs even as dead plant in the winter. Then, edmontasours didi not need to migrate.
Second, the article states that finding of foddils of dinasour prove that they live in herd. it bring this as a reason that they could migrate easier in herd and compare with some contemporary animals which lilve in herd and migrate such as boffalo. On the other hand the professor reject this reassoning and disprove this evidence by sainy that living in herd is not equal to migration as some animal like rosvelt elk lilve in herd and does not migrat at all.
Third, athe article avers that this edmontasors can walk as fast as it needs to migrate. Hoever, the professor reject this by questioning that if the juvenile of dinasoursa could walk as adult or no. she said that young dinasour aoudl not move as fast as the adult and they decrease the speed fo the herd, hence the herd could not reach their destination in south in time.
