TPO-33 - Integrated Writing Task
In this set materials, the reading passage state that craved stone ball used for 3 main purposes such as using for hunting, as scale stone and as social purpose. On the other hand, the listening section brings into question the reading by providing different reasons (and examples).
First of all, the reading passage indicates that carved stone used for hunting or fighting; in contrast, the lecturer opposes this view by mentioning that weapon that used for hunting must have a space that people can handle them as handle excess, but these stones do not have handle excess. Also in this carved stone, we do not see any cracked space that became a sign of the hunting.
Secondly, the reading passage argues that people used this stone for the system of weight and measures; conversely, what the speaker believes is different. She points that carved stones have the same shape, but they do not have the same weight. Because these stones were made by the different type of stone with different density, as the result the weight of stone was different and people could not use them for scale.
Finally, according to the reading, carved stones were used as social purpose. However, the lecturer states that the pattern of these stones was a simple shape. Furthermore, ancient people burned famous people with their position and worthy things. But, we can not see the carved stone with people who burned.
