TPO-32 - Integrated Writing Task
In this set materials, the reading passage state that the noise which comes from the ocean has 3 main reasons such as producing by Orca whales, producing by the giant squid, and making by military technology. On the other hand, the listening section brings into question the reading by providing different reasons (and examples).
First of all, the reading passage indicates that Ocra whales made this sound when they wanted to attract a male; in contrast, the lecturer opposes this view by mentioning that Ocra whale lived in near the surface of the ocean; also, if they lived in deep ocean, they could not make voice which has high frequency that could come to the surface.
Secondly, the reading argues that this sound is made by giant squid which they are giant marine; conversely, what the lecturer state is different. She points that this sound only made for the specific time (about 2 decades), and suddenly this sound is stopped. But, the giant squid has been living in the ocean for several years; also, today they are living in the ocean and they do not make the voice as the same as the quackers.
Finally, according to the reading, quacker may be produced by military technology which made by a Russian submarine. However, the speaker believes that the quacker changed direction quickly. But, the military equipment cannot change direction as the same as this sound. Furthermore, the Russian people do not have high technology which can make the equipment that can change orientation quickly.
