tpo 35 smart cars
The reading states that smart cars have many benefit. However, the professor disagrees and mentioned that even if smart cars coudl meet technological expectation, it is not clear to produce benefits .
Firstly, the reading sates that smart cars are safer, quicker, and less expensive.
conversely, the perofessor challenged the points. Firstly, he stated that smart cars could not reduce the number of car accidents, becasue smart cars are more tightly packed together, so accidents will pile up because they include more cars, so they will be worse. Aa a result, smart cars could not save life or even reduce number of injuries. Next, the lecturer stated that smart cars will encourage more people to drive, so number of drivers will increase in roads. Consequently, commute time could not decrease becasue of traffic conjunction. So , that could not allow people to enjoy the advantage of highly speed cars. one final point, the professor explained that smart cars could not save the drivers' money. he pointed out that the global position technique is very expensive, and smart cars need other costly technique, such as sensors, which could control the distance between a car and another one infront of it. in addition to that, repairing smart cars is more expensive than conventional ones, which could create new expenses that offset saving.
