Although the reading states that pterosaurs are uncapable of powered flight, the listening contradicts this from three aspects.

First of all, from the fossils scientists found hair or fur, which indicates that pterosaurs are much likely to be warm-blooded animals rather than cold-blooded animals said in the reading. This is because hair is helpful to maintain a high body temperature. As a result, with a high metabolism rate, pterosaurs are able to supply enough energy for powered flight.

Secondly, despite the reading points out that pterosaurs are too heavy for powered flight, the listening disagrees this statement by saying they are unusually light. For example, their bones are hollow rather than solid, so that they can keep their weight low. In addition, they have flipping wings.

Last but not least, the listening makes an argument that there are differences between pterosaurs and birds. Unlike birds jump or run to gain speed needed for taking off, pterosaurs use their four limps together to push off the ground, which can be also seen on some modern birds such as bats. With four legs, pterosaurs are able to fast enough and jump high enough and definitely powered flight is reachable for them.
