The reading asserts that maintains a permanent presence of a human on Venus would be impossible because of inhospitable and extreme conditions of Venus. The lecturer, however, finds the idea dubious and casts doubt on the reasons proposed by the reading passage. The lecturer asserts that all of the problems can solve if the spacecraft be floated like a balloon rather than standing on the surface.
The author argues that the surface pressure of Venus is at least 90 times greater than Earth's surface pressure, which leads to crushing spacecraft after landing. Conversely, the lecturer brings up the idea that atmospheric pressure is equal to the earth because increasing height cause decreasing the pressure on the atmosphere. So, there is not a dangerous condition for spacecraft, and they do not crush.
Furthermore, the reading passage holds the view that the surface of Venus does not contain oxygen and water since they have to supply water from the earth, which is impractical. on the contrary, the professor underlines the fact that the atmosphere of Venus is mostly composed of components of Oxygen. So, they can use a chemical process to extract Oxygen then make the water, and it is easy to obtain water from them.
finally, the reading asserts that the clouds of Venus are very thick, as sunlight cannot get through them. Also, the clouds reflect the sunlight back to space. As a result, with very little sunlight, humans cannot get electricity to power their instruments. In Contrast, the speaker dismisses this issue due to the fact that the clouds are thinner at a high level. Also, they can reflect sunlight. So, electricity can produce to power machines and equipment by both direct and reflected sunlight.
- There is no doubt that nowadays, boosting information in today's world is one of the most important concerns of people, and it is not important who teaches you. Some may hold the opinion that parents teach children more than children teach them. Howe 73
