The article states that it would not be possible to maintain a permanent presence on Venus and provide three reasons of support. However, the professor explains that it might be possible to maintain presence on Venus and refutes each of the author's reasons.
First, the article claims that atmospheric pressure on Venus is much higher than on Earth. The professor refutes the point by saying that 50 kilometer above of the surface of Venus is possible to stay their. He states that the atmospheric pressure above 50 kilometer of Venus is same as pressure on Earth. So it is possible to stay on Venus atmosphere by using gas bloom.
Second, the reading states that there are no reservations of water on Venus surface and it is not feasible to provide daily supply of water from Earth to Venus. However the professor says that there is further solution for water. According to the professor there is presence of carbon dioxide and sulphuric acid. The chemical reaction between them generates water and other gases, this water is useful for drinking.
Third, the article says that very little sunlight reaches to the surface of Venus and due to this the solar panel cannot be generate more electricity from little sunlight. The professor opposes this point by explaining that there is feasible to generate electricity on Venus. The professor further support this statement by saying that above 50 kilometer of Venus surface there is less dark clouds, so there is source to get more sunlight from less dark clouds and by putting solar panel we can generate more electricity.
