TPO-47 - Integrated Writing Task Pterosaurs were an ancient group of winged reptiles that lived alongside the dinosaurs. Many pterosaurs were very large, some as large as a giraffe and with a wingspan of over 12 meters. Paleontologists have long wondered

The reading passage and the and lecturer discussing about the Pterosaurs's fluing capacity in different perspective.

Firstly, the reading passage suggests that Pterosaurs can not fly because of it is cooled blood animal and it is reptile. But the speakers refutes this by stating that Pterosaurs are resemble like warm blood animal in order to keep the body at more temperature according to environment changes, it has to generate huge body heat to do so it has hair structure which help the Pterosaurs to produce more BMR which in turn ptoduce more energy that will be helpful for flying like warm blooded animals.

Secondly, the reading passage says that because of it's body size that can not fly and more all birds are usually lesser in body size when compare with Pterosaurs so they can't fly. Needless to say, speaker contrast this point by saying that about the anatomical features of Pterosaurs, actually it hallow long bone which reduce the much weight of it's body. This way it help Pterosaurs to fly.

Thirdly, the reading passage claims that all birds uses the limbs to run and jump to take off from the ground but the Pterosaurs can not do this according to the passage but the professor gives different point of view regarding this statement and moreover he states that because of Pterosaurs using four limbs and it more powerful musculature, it can take off from the ground regardless of it's size.
