The reading passage and the lecture discuss this fascinating topic the problem of declining frog populations. Frogs are important for ecosystems and they help play a role in protecting humans by eating disease-carrying insects. The article claims that they know the way to protect frogs population he provides three methods for protecting frogs population. The lecture cast has serious doubt on the claims of the reading passage, according to the professor the methods are not a practical solution.
First of all, the author of the reading passage states that If laws prohibited the farmers from using harmful pesticides near sensitive frog populations. This point is challenged by the professor she said that rule to stop using pesticides for the farmer is not the economical particle although pesticides are harmful to frogs but the farmers are a heavy relay on the pesticides for saving their farms if there is a rule for only those farmer who has frames near to sensitive frog populations will be in great disadvantage there will grow lot fewer crops than other farmers they will be behind in competition.
Secondly, the reading passage states that fungus has deadly effect on frogs prevent if treatment applied would protect sensitive frog populations from infection. This point rebuts by professor she side said that the researchers has developed treatmet for this but it needs to apply by indivisuly on a large scale this very difficult moreover they are not passed into the skin so they have to apply each new frogs.
Finally, the article states that habitats are threatened by human activities which cause frog populations are in decline. The lecture said that human activities are caused some problem for frog populations but the main problme is something else and that problem is global warming is the main caused for this.
In summary, both reading passage and lecture give some important knowleged about frog populations decline but a significant amount of fact support that there is no partical solution. Therefore reading passage failed to justify.
