the reading assert that sending human to mars is challenging and requiring to solving some problems. but lecturer mentions that this problems are solved.
first, trip to the mars longs at least two years and through this period, they need food and bringing and conservation a lot of food not impossibe. but lecturer asserts that astronauts can use hydroponic methods to cultivating plants in water instead of soil. it is good technic for growing food in little space in spacecraft. furthermore, this technic can transmutes waste water into clean water and this plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen and that is the way can help astronaut have fresh air in spacecraft.
the second problem is the zero gravity is harmful for astronauts' body. but the lecturer say the solution for this problem too. after several spacecraft which were launched into the space, astronaut learn some technica to helped them to control the zero gravitys' damage. for example they leared some excercise to control negative effects on their muscles.
the third issue is that mars be exposed to perilous level of radiation which is harmful for astronaut and using shield for protection is not possible because it may add too much weight to ship. for solving this problem, the lecturer utter that radiation not always dangerous and occasionally when it would be active, is perilous. on the other hand, some technica can help human for this problem like monitor solar radiation and when it increases, they can use small shield to protect themselves from this radiation
