tpo 61 integrated task

The reading and the lecture are both about the defending of golden frogs from fungal infection. Whereas the author of the passage lists out three suggestions that can keep the frogs safe, the lecturer believes that they are not effective and refutes each of the reasons as illustrated below.
First, according to the reading, the concerned conservationist can use a special type of bacterium that produces a chemical against the fungus on the frog's skin. However, the professor disputes this idea. She mentions that this bacterium is just effective at the early age of frogs. In other words, these beneficial species don't last long enough to protect the frogs during adult age like breeding time. At the adult age, frogs will be vulnerable to fungus again.
Second, the author of the reading argues that by breeding the frogs in captivity then releasing them into the natural habitat, it is possible to preserve their population. Nevertheless, the professor opposes this argument. She states that these new frogs that originated from captivity are not able to continue living healthy in the natural habitat since other wild animals living in the same area have the same fungus. Therefore, they can transmit the illness easily to new frogs.
Finally, the passage states that there is a natural defensive mechanism that frogs can utilize to survive by increasing their body temperature to prevent fungal progress. On the contrary, the lecturer rejects this statement by remarking that this mentioned defending mechanism has some serious drawbacks for frogs. She explains that to raise the body temperature, a frog needs to consume lots of energy that results in a weaker frog. She posits that these weak and ill frogs can't survive to keep the population safe.
