The lecture and the reading discuss the studying of the old culture and artifact in the kingdom. While the reading states that the science of archeology faced many serious problem and limitations, the reading enumerates three reasons of support, the lecture disagrees. It claims that after 1990 there was new guide lines and rules have been initiated.
First of all the reading states that, valuable artifact lost during constructions. While digging new foundation for the new building the builder uncovered the valuable sites and proceed with the construction, they did not preserve the artifacts. The lecture disagrees. it claims that the new regulations and rules forced the builder and the archeological to examine the are a of interest before they proceed any constructions. According to the professor the builders and the government should preserve any artifact according to the new rules.
Second, the reading says that due to the lack of the financial support from the government, many archeologist are focusing only on specific sites and left behind other important sites. However the lecture disagrees. It claims that al the expenses were paid by the construction companies not by the government. The companies support the financially by initial exam the area, then study far grater.
Third, the reading passage argues that, it was difficult to have a career job in archeology. Archeology job only found at universities or with a few government agencies. But, the lecture disagrees. It claims that a lot of paid work was found in the archeological filed for example, invest the site, doing research, drop off the plan, and processing the data. Furthermore, the number of job has been increased in Britain since 1990.
